PSLC Badminton run a non-selective junior club for children aged 8 to 16 years on Wednesdays from 7pm to 8pm during the school term.
Our main aim is to encourage young people into the lifelong sport of badminton by offering them a safe and fun environment to learn the techniques of badminton, improve their fitness, and to develop the teamwork and discipline necessary to be able to play the game to the best of their ability.
This is done under the guidance of experienced in-house coaches, licensed with Badminton Ireland, Garda vetted and with Safeguarding qualifications.
Starting this year, we include the Teicnic programme – a Badminton Ireland skills-based, structured programme in our coaching. Juniors will have specific skills to learn as they pass through the various levels. For more information see BI Teicnic.
We also enter teams in the Leinster Badminton Juvenile league. Please let the Juniors Secretary know if your child would be interested in taking part.
The club would like to acknowledge the support received from Fingal County Council via their Youth Sport (Small Grant) scheme in making all this possible.
